
Feeding America
Feeding the Gulf Coast is a member food bank of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Their mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks. Each year, Feeding America provides food to more than 49 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States; including nearly 16 million children and over 3 million seniors.
State Associations
Feeding Alabama
The Feeding Alabama, formerly Alabama Food Bank Association, is a non-profit organization representing the eight regional food banks located across Alabama. Feeding Alabama works to end hunger by assisting the food bank network in obtaining more food and funds, fostering public awareness of the food banks’ mission, and creating partnerships to help alleviate hunger in Alabama.
Feeding Florida
Feeding Florida, formerly Florida Association of Food Banks, is Florida's network of food banks working to solve hunger. Their statewide network unites 12 member food banks to provide a healthy, adequate, and consistent food supply to every community every day. Feeding Florida member food banks support more than 2,200 local charitable agencies, which provide food directly to individuals and families in need to ensure a hunger-free Florida. Each year, the Feeding Florida network provides food to the 2.8 million Floridians facing hunger, including over 850,00 children. Feeding Florida is a unified voice regarding hunger and food insecurity by focusing on each community’s needs.
