Wh Food Drive1

Coordinating a traditional, fund or online food drive is an easy and great opportunity for your business, school, or program to help your local community.
Due to COVID-19, you must pick up boxes/barrels from the food bank. Once your drive is over, you must return any borrowed barrels and food donations collected to the food bank.

Traditional Food Drive

Food Drives allow members of a group to collect non-perishable food items to donate. It can be a one-day event or take place for a predetermined amount of time, typically a week or month.

Holding a food drive in conjunction with an incentive is a great way to get others to participate. So get creative and have a contest or offer a discount at your store in exchange for food donations.

  • Canned Meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, etc.)

Fund or Online Food Drive

Fund Drives help raise money for Feeding the Gulf Coast to put towards one of our nutrition programs or general food distribution operations. They can be held alone or in conjunction with a traditional food drive.

Because the food bank has bulk purchasing power, with monetary donations, we can process your donation into more meals. For every $10, Feeding the Gulf Coast can provide 50 meals to those in need.

Virtual Food Drive

To ensure we best serve our community throughout this ever-changing time of need, we have developed safe strategies for the efficient distribution of food for those affected by school closures, quarantines, and the growing economic impact of this crisis. One way is to participate in this Virtual Food Drive! You can purchase boxes that will provide meals to those in our community facing hunger. Just $5 will provide 25 meals. And $100 will provide 500 meals.

Help Us Celebrate 40 Years of Hope

Double Down Fundraising Challenge:

In celebration of our 40 years, we are doubling down on our Food & Fund Drives goal for 2021, and we need your help to meet this challenge! We have set a Food & Fund Drives goal of $80,000, which can provide 400,000 meals to individuals and families. As we join forces to raise this money together, we can provide hope to so many!

40 Days of Hope Food Drive Challenge:

Individuals or groups wanting to hold a traditional food drive can hold a 40-day food drive for us in which we will provide you with a suggested list of the most needed items that can be donated on each of the 40 days. There will be a different suggested item to donate for each day. As the food drive organizer, you can encourage people to give all 40 days, but if that is not possible for everyone, they can give as much as they can throughout the food drive. At the end of your drive, we will let you know how many meals your food donation can provide to those in need.
