Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers match charitable donations made by their employees, often dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your gift. Some companies also donate in recognition of employee volunteer hours. Check with your employer to see if a matching gift program is available. If your company does not currently match donations or volunteer hours, consider asking them to. Every gift makes a difference, and a match allows us to provide even more nutritious food to our neighbors.

Mississippi HB1723

For Mississippi businesses only: Mississippi House Bill 1723 allows Mississippi businesses to receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against Mississippi state income tax liability for contributions made to Feeding the Gulf Coast, or one of the state’s other Food Bank Charitable Organizations. This is a direct tax credit, not a deduction, meaning your gift reduces taxes owed while helping keep resources working in our South Mississippi community. It is a powerful way to support hunger relief and make a lasting difference for children, families, and seniors across Mississippi. To learn more about how this credit works and how to participate, visit our Mississippi tax credit page, here.
