Just in time for the holidays, our chef provides her recommendation for the perfect healthy cookie recipe to try when you are home with the kiddos. With tips to make them your own, you can spend the afternoon creating memories.

Holidays are the perfect time to create special memories with your family. This Thanksgiving, we invite you to enjoy this special recipe from our Child Nutrition Programs Chef as a small token of our appreciation for your support of Feeding the Gulf Coast.

Did you know that Feeding the Gulf Coast has a full commercial kitchen complete with 10 ovens and a walk-in cooler? Chef Christine and our kitchen staff prep healthy, nutritious meals and deliver to students five days a week. Over 20,000 hot meals each month come out of our commercial kitchen for about 1,500 local children.

Chef Christine recommends the perfect cookie that is not only healthy but customizable to fit your taste buds. With only 2-ingredients, this recipe is simple for kids of all ages to jump in and help.

Grab your chef hat, an apron, and a baking sheet--let's get started.
